Legal language is by its very nature riddled with complex expressions and terminology so providing accurate legal translations requires a skilled and expericanced legal interpreter or legal translator. For example, the demands and rigors of courtroom interpreting are particularly complex – few bilingual speakers can accurately and comprehensively interpret legal language flowing at 150 or more words a minute.
At Prestige, our professional Legal Interpreters and Legal Translators have extensive industry experience, native fluency in the target language and dialect, linguistics or translation degrees from a major university or language school and relevant experience translating legal documents and materials.
Prestige Network has been providing Legal Translation and Legal Interpreting Services for leading law firms, judicial systems including law courts, UK and global companies, and government agencies for almost 20 years.
- Prestige works with many Solicitors around the UK providing interpreters for interviews and court and high quality, professional translations.
- Prestige also works closely with Courts providing experienced interpreters.
- Prestige works closely with many Police Forces throughout the UK. We understand and address their future interpreting requirements tailoring our services to their exact needs, whilst ensuring our language specialists receive job-specific briefs.
- Prestige provides a professional translation and certification service for legal documents including birth certificates, marriage certificates and property documents.
Prestige Network provides you with a simple way to break the legal language barrier with our range of Legal Language services – from Court interpreters to translation of legal documents.

Prestige Network doubled its office space in summer 2008 to cope with current growth. The company expanded into the office next door in Thatcham Business Village and now occupies both units 7 & unit 8.
Prestige has achieved phenomenal financial growth this last year and is on target for even bigger growth in the current financial year. The financial growth was around 40% in 2007/2008 and is on target for 100% growth in 2008/2009. The company has been growing healthily since its inception in 1991, however 2007/2008 represented a landmark period in the company’s history.
Director of Business Strategy and Development, Shawn Khorassani, said: “We are growing in both sides of the business – the public sector and commercial. We have invested a lot of effort over the past few years in educating the marketplace in how language and translation services can improve their business and therefore play a part in their success.
“By identifying potential obstacles that may restrict access to foreign nationals, many public and commercial organisations have begun to see the benefits in providing information media for non-English speaking audiences. Language services give companies a huge competitive advantage.
“Another reason for the leap in annual growth is the increased demand for language services in general. This is symptomatic of the need to meet the country’s continually expanding and diversifying language base.”
The company’s growth led to an invitation to Shawn Khorassani, to present on the s
ubject of ‘How To Manage Growth’ at the annual meeting of the Association of nslation Companies (ATC) this autumn, attended by around one hundred senior members of staff from language companies.
Prestige Network is a finalist in the Thames Valley Business Awards 2008. The winner will be announced later this year.
[1st December 08 update] Prestige won a Business Award and details can be seen here: Small Business Award 08
Shawn Khorassani, Director of Business Strategy and Development, said: “Prestige Network has always had a strong reputation for the quality and dependability of our service and it is this solid reputation, quality of service and commitment to our customers that puts us firmly at the top of our industry. Ultimately, social cohesion is what Britain today is striving for. It’s important to remember that specialist language services provided by Prestige work in a positive way to meet the requirements of today’s multicultural society – translation and interpreting are valuable tools in helping social cohesion to take place.”
One of our most recent major success was this month (November 2008), with the award of a framework contract by the North West Public Sector Consortium for: face-to-face interpreting, British Sign Language Interpreting (BSL), telephone interpreting and written translations. The client comprises 60 NHS Trusts and six Police Forces in the North West, with a combined estimated contract value of up to £4.5m a year.

Prestige Network joins in the efforts to keep drivers safe on our roads. A new ‘Don’t Drink and Drive’ campaign has just been launched in association with many Police Forces across the country.
This is a national initiative by Prestige Network and is the first time that such a message has been translated into a number of languages to help reach a large cross-section of the society.
