Prestige Network doubled its office space in summer 2008 to cope with current growth. The company expanded into the office next door in Thatcham Business Village and now occupies both units 7 & unit 8.
Prestige has achieved phenomenal financial growth this last year and is on target for even bigger growth in the current financial year. The financial growth was around 40% in 2007/2008 and is on target for 100% growth in 2008/2009. The company has been growing healthily since its inception in 1991, however 2007/2008 represented a landmark period in the company’s history.
Director of Business Strategy and Development, Shawn Khorassani, said: “We are growing in both sides of the business – the public sector and commercial. We have invested a lot of effort over the past few years in educating the marketplace in how language and translation services can improve their business and therefore play a part in their success.
“By identifying potential obstacles that may restrict access to foreign nationals, many public and commercial organisations have begun to see the benefits in providing information media for non-English speaking audiences. Language services give companies a huge competitive advantage.
“Another reason for the leap in annual growth is the increased demand for language services in general. This is symptomatic of the need to meet the country’s continually expanding and diversifying language base.”
The company’s growth led to an invitation to Shawn Khorassani, to present on the s
ubject of ‘How To Manage Growth’ at the annual meeting of the Association of nslation Companies (ATC) this autumn, attended by around one hundred senior members of staff from language companies.
Prestige Network is a finalist in the Thames Valley Business Awards 2008. The winner will be announced later this year.

Ultimately, social cohesion is what Britain today is striving for. It’s important to remember that specialist language services provided by Prestige work in a positive way to meet the requirements of today’s multicultural society – translation and interpreting are valuable tools in helping social cohesion to take place.”
